useful base for 7 nights. the view from the deluxe queen room was delightful. being just next door to restaurante alfonso was nice, we had dinner there.
-
The food was very good and always fresh!
Unfortunately there were massive construction works during the stay, so that the noise nuisance during the day was immense and the construction workers walked around the pool between the sunbathing holidaymakers! Moreover, the parking garage of the hotel was not usable for the holidaymakers with rental cars for the time of the construction measures, so that we had to rely on parking partly with a long footpath away from the hotel. Walking with children and beach luggage after an active vacation day was not very nice.

The staff was particularly sensational, and each and every one of them always tried to provide us with the best possible comfort so that pure relaxation was guaranteed - Gracias to the whole staff for the best service. We enjoyed every minute just because of you.
Really a great hotel and just when the whole reconstruction is finished, certainly even higher to value than during our travel time

We had a quiet room with an ingenious view directly on the sea . The dining room is too big and too loud and the lighting - too bright. One could dine on the terrace. The food selection is rich and balanced. There is no natural shade from trees in the outdoor areas.
-
Friendly staff, very clean, nice rooms, good food, well maintained facilities. Pleasant guests.

Very nice hotel in a great location. Everything makes a good impression, good food, great pool landscape, fitness room. The renovated rooms are beautiful and functional. Small rocky beach and a natural pool nearby.
Very intensive renovation works at present. This makes it extremely noisy in some rooms from 8 o'clock in the morning. Unfortunately we were not informed about this beforehand. Not recommended for those seeking peace and quiet at the moment. If necessary, ask about the status of the renovation beforehand. No real beach nearby.

The view from the balcony. The choice at the buffet.
Information at the reception desk, many things we had to work out ourselves or copy from guests

OUR HOLIDAY
In general: The hotel was really nice, staff fantastic. There were a couple of not so good points. Firstly, my room with my daughter was terrible, on a corner, bad shape, bad condition needs upgrading, bathroom, not square needs upgrading. In my opinion, this is a single room, not double. Air conditioning kept going off, bad connection with patio doors. When it was working in was blowing on me in bed. Not good. Secondly food good and bad sometimes cold on Children’s corner, not great selection of green vegetables. There appeared to be a short of tea spoons for breakfast we never got one each, if at all, my daughter had boiled eggs (not soft always hard and cold) no teaspoons. Entertainment staff brilliant, evening cabaret should be a little earlier. Location and surroundings: Wonderful sea views. Rather hilly area. Overlooking sea room great. Service: All staff very helpful and would go that extra mile. Dining: Not good variety, (Riu have more choice). Some nice things Riu doesn’t have I.e. nice wine, fresh orange juice machine, ice cream cornets. Sports and leisure: Very good. My disabled daughter was accepted and accommodated. Room: Bad bad bad, very disappointed, my room was 419 which should give you a clue. This is a single room, shouldn’t be used, it is a corner room not even oblong. The only good thing about it was the balcony. There were two people in this room. Useful tips: Upgrade. More teaspoons. More variety food. Earlier cabaret.

Location was fantastic with panoramic views. Food was excellent.Pool area very clean. Plenty sun loungers.
-
Large hotel run efficiently with helpful staff. Wide variety of buffet foods available for both breakfast and dinner. Convenient location for boat trips, shops eating and drinking.

All staff were very friendly with wide range nationalities. Food choice was exceptional and even dining towards the end of the evening fresh food was still being bought out. Lots of facilities in the hotel if you wanted to relax and near beach locations. Great views of Los Gigantes. Staff were very helpful.
On check in we were imedialty told if we didnt like our room (level 2)we could request a different one - seemed odd thing to say. When we asked for a room on higher level, we were told we had already been upgraded as reservations with Booked.net meant we were only given low cost rooms which should have had street view, so by having a seaview we had al ready been 'upgraded' and if we wanted a further change we had to pay more!We had stayed before booking with Booked.net and had a seaview room on top floor so the informaiton given by staff was confusing. Some of the room needed attention, curtains partly hanging off rail, fridge door broken, bathroom worn in places, hot water took about 8 mins to come through. Entertainment could have been better. Although water provided free at breakfast you had to pay for this at dinner. Dont understand why we had to pay for use of safe when its already in the room?!

conscientious staff neatly turned out and welcoming, good range of food of good quality ,fabulous views good infinity pool, pretty gardens, good pool bar
guests bagged loungers as early as 5..30am ,not enoughsunshades, enthusiastic and lively animateurs, but the evening entertainment didn't quite work [except the professional flamenco group]..would suggest a piano bar would be a big improvement

Prime location with views of the ocean and the cliffs of Los Gigantes.Excellent holiday facilities, all rooms with balconies
No free Wifi in the rooms

Excellent location with great views of the cliffs and sea. Good pool area (but you have to get up early to 'book' the sun-beds with your towels - even though there are signs stating you're not allowed to). Good breakfast with a wide choice of food.
Our room was in need of major redecoration/upgrading: it didn't match the standard of the rest of the hotel (or the other Barceló hotels I've visted). The pool area was clean, but the sun-beds themselves were really dirty. Many of the staff - including the receptionists - spoke poor English. If you're not 'all-inclusive', you'll feel like a second-class guest. It's a really big hotel which means the dining room is extremely busy/noisy. There's a 'holiday camp' feel to the place, which is fine if you have small kids etc, but it's not the place for a relaxing holiday.

It was a standard hotel. Nothing outstanding but clean and spacious.
Decor was tired. Room needed updating. No tea/coffee facility in rooms. Fridge in room not working adequately despite being looked at by staff. Having stayed at sister hotel in illetas was quite disappointed with ambience of hotel. Booked it because Majorca hotel so nice. Inspite if notices was annoyed that sun beds were constantly reserved and not used for hours!
